Walking Netball is a slower version of the game, designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all players, regardless of levels of fitness and experience. Though running or jumping are not allowed, this version can still be surprisingly fast and skilful. The game offers the same social benefits while helping to build skills and confidence. Emphasis is on safe play, however having fun while keeping fit are important components in the sessions. St John’s Methodist hall is the regular venue in Settle where the group play on a half-size court. Moving outdoors in the warmer months allows play on a full-size court in beautiful surroundings at Austwick playing fields. Rules are adapted depending on the number of players and venue.
