Bank Hall, was the Manorial home of the Bannister family but by 1995 it had become derelict. With the help of funding from the Heritage Trust for the North West, and the National Lottery, the Friends of Bank Hall have restored the house and are now busy bringing the walled garden and the wider grounds back to former glories. Hidden away in woodland the Hall was completed in 1608 and remodelled in the 1830's. Its mixture of Jacobean and Georgian Gothic styles is unique in Lancashire.
